HOUSTON WE HAVE LIFT OFF!

We had our first worship service in Spanish.
There were 35 in attendance for our first service
and the whole team was very exited.
In
attendance were a mixture of our teams contacts
including, local business owners, Spanish
teachers, taxi drivers, and some that we have
helped. I was particularly exited to see Margarita
come with her two girls and nephew. They had
to take an hour long bus ride to come, and
seemed extremely exited to come back with
friends and family. If you are not familiar with
Margarita, she is one of the flood victims for
whom we built a house. The building of her
house was sponsored by the Great Oaks Church
of Christ in Memphis, TN. As you will read
further into the news letter we had a construction
campaign come to help us get our building ready,
and to help build these houses. We now have 3
houses nearly complete. I’ll be sending before
and after pictures very soon. The houses will be
finished just in time, as the rainy season will
begin in a couple of months. This time they
should not have to worry because we built a
strong foundation and used concrete blocks. We
have also held regular Bible studies with the
families we are helping. Please pray that this
spiritual foundation will become the foundation
for generations of families coming to know
Christ!

PRAYER REQUESTS:
• Prayers of thanks for a great campaign, and a great first service.
• For our teammates the Cook and Kizer families that they continue to
grow and thrive in Cusco.
• For Great Oaks and for all of our supporters.
• For our families in the U.S.
• Our upcoming services and as we prepare to launch big in Oct.
• All the ongoing building renovation projects.
• For all the lost of Cusco, and the world.
• We thank God for you always, knowing that you are praying for our
families and for the Lords work around the world!
We couldn’t have asked for a better group! We had 31
campaigners that came with great attitudes, and a willing spirit. They
worked hard and were an enormous blessing to our team. Our
building is in great shape, but please keep praying for the children and
flood victims. Pray for their spiritual well being and their comfort in
their new homes as the rainy season starts again in a few months.
The campaign group represents various Churches of Christ
from all over the U.S. A couple are not in this photo due to
intestinal parasites. Please pray for them!
