questions
How can we take a boat or
train ride?
I’m a visitor with limited
mobility, how can you help?
The boat and miniature train
operate seasonally and extra
charges apply. Pick up a timetable
at the main entrance, pay for your
tickets there or purchase them with
cash on the boat or train. Rowing
boats are available for hire from the
north jetty during weekends and
bank holidays in peak season.
Most areas of the gardens are
accessible to wheelchair users please ask for a suggested route
map. Inaccessible areas are
clearly marked as unsuitable.
Manual wheelchairs are available
on a first come, first served basis
from the main entrance. A deposit
is required. There are lots of
benches around the lake and
gardens. Find disabled toilets at
the main entrance, the Tearoom
and in the Shopping Village.
Where can we eat?
The Italian Garden Tearoom and
Lakeside Café offer a delicious
menu. We welcome picnicking
and tables are available by the
lakeside and around the gardens.

Please use the dog waste bins
and avoid the playground, maze
