Language Arts Homework Due: Friday, March 10th 1. As we continue with our Read-A-Thon, it is important for you to know that one of the things we purchase with fundraiser money is new books. My favorite thing!! I would like for you to think of a book that we do not currently have in our classroom library, and write about why it should be added. I would love to get some great recommendations for enhancing the classroom library next year. For homework, write at least one paragraph, but feel free to write more. ● You should give the title (underlined, of course!), author and date it was published. ● Let me know why you liked this particular book. ● Tell me why you think it would be a good addition to the library. For example, perhaps you have a favorite fantasy book that we don’t yet have, or maybe you have another genre that you love and feel isn’t fully represented in our current library. 2. We are going to memorize Juliet’s lines from the same part of the play. Begin working on the lines below. We will analyze and memorize in class as well. O, Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name, Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I’ll no longer be a Capulet. ‘Tis but thy name that is my enemy, …O, be some other name! What’s in a name! That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet. Act II, Scene II of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
