How to save log-in info for ABC Creative Music Online Website...
In the following pages, there are detailed instructions how to adjust your browser
so it saves the user name and password for the ABC Creative Music Website.
The browser will save the user name and password for other websites tooalthough some websites eg banking, don’t allow this feature to work- and you can decide
for each website whether you want this to happen.

Option 1) If you use a password to log-in to use the computer, as long as you log out when
you leave the computer unattended, the ABC website access would be protected by your
main computer security.

Option 2) Download and use Firefox as your browser- and use the most secure
option- outlined below.
Option 3) Otherwise you could explore using available 3rd-party password software to help
you do this- eg LastPass
You must decide what is appropriate for you!

Windows Internet Explorer 9 & 10- Not available in Internet Explorer 7 or 8.
Fill in website forms and passwords automatically
Internet Explorer uses AutoComplete to save passwords and other info that you frequently enter on
sites, such as your name and address, or sign-in info. When you start entering info on sites,
AutoComplete stores it on your PC, and any passwords you save are encrypted. This info can't be
shared between user accounts on a PC.
Remember user names and passwords
Whenever you sign in to a new site, you'll be asked if you want Internet Explorer to remember your
user name and password. The next time you visit the site and start entering your sign-in
info, Internet Explorer will automatically fill in the rest of your user name and password. Here's how to
turn on AutoComplete to save sign-in info:

Select the User names and passwords on forms check box. If you want to automatically

Use the AutoFill pane of Safari preferences to specify whether Safari should automatically fill in
forms, user names, and passwords on webpages you visit.
Tick the following option.
When accessing a new website, Safari will ask if you want the password saved or not.
Change or delete passwords you do have saved by pressing the edit button, next to ʻUser names
and passwordsʼ option.

To have Safari remember user names and passwords you enter on

webpages, select this checkbox. Click Edit to view or change your saved

remember and fill in passwords on webpages you visit.

Tick Remember passwords for sites box.
You may see this request when entering ABC Creative Music Online- click Remember.

Use the Security pane of preferences to tell Firefox not to remember passwords for webpages.
Firefox has a default setting to remember ʻForm Historyʼ- ie remember what you previously entered
in a particular form.
So when you type the first letter of your email/user name, the browser will offer suggestions of your
previously entered email.
Select this- it saves you typing time, but keeping the security of the password intact.
