HOW TO MAKE A GRAPH ON GOOGLE DOCS 1. Go to Google Doc. → Create → spreadsheet 2. In the first cell of the first column of your spreadsheet type your independent variable with labels. 3. In the first cell of the second column of your spread sheet type the dependent variable with labels. 4. Fill in your data starting with the lowest value for your independent variable. Remember no labels in cells with numbers. 5. After your data is typed in (Make sure you have labels in your heading), go to your menu bar and choose the icon that looks like a window. This will make lines for your data table visible. 6. Open your lab report and place cursor where you want to insert your data table. (Under “Data”) 7. Highlight the table, copy it and paste it onto your lab report Word Doc. under “Data.” 8. Go back to your spreadsheet. 9. Now re highlight your data table if necessary and click on the chart icon in your menu bar. 10. Pick the start tab and make sure the that “Use row 1 as headers” and “Use column A as labels” are both checked off. 11. Now pick the chart tab. 12. Choose the appropriate type of graph. 13. Once graph is made go to the Customize Tab. < 14. Choose Title Chart Give the chart a title 15. Go to “Legend” right underneath “Chart Title” and move it or delete it by choosing “none.” 16. Now go to “Axis” and title those. 17. Choose “Horizontal” for your Independent Variable. Type variable in the “Title” box with labels. 18. Go back to “Axis” click on arrow and choose “Vertical” for your Dependent Variable. Type variable in the “Title” box with labels. 19. Now click on the graph until you get an arrow. Click on it and choose “save images.” 20. The image will go to your downloads. 21. Go to your “document” make sure that your cursor is where you want the graph to go. 22. Go to your toolbar at the top of page and choose “Insert” the “Image” 23. Choose “Downloads” and pick the appropriate chart.
