When President Ripley visited the San
Diego Exposition on April 25, he stirred
up quite a commotion among the Indians
of the Santa Fe exhibit. As soon as they
learned that the "Big White Chief" was
a visitor they poured from their dwellings to busy themselves at their various
tasks. Navajo Sam, a three-year-old

The president made the trip to San
Diego by automobile. coming through the
Temecula canon to inspect the damage
done by the recent floods. He also inspected the new exhibits and displays at
the exposition and was highly pleased at
the many additions and improvements.
