“DON’T GIVE UP. I BELIEVE IN YOU ALL. A PERSON’S A
PERSON, NO MATTER HOW SMALL!” - DR. SEUSS
times
Meet Alex: Your RLC
“
Residence Life Coordinator”
Hello! My name is Alex Ries
and I am SO excited to be
the RLC for Moody Towers
North! Of all the things I am
looking forward to, I am
most excited to have you all
arrive and bring your energy
and enthusiasm to Moody
Towers North! As the RLC,
one of my main goals is to
assist in the creation of a
strong community that
thrives on academic success,
student engagement,
friendship, and North Side
Pride! Furthermore, the
amazing Moody Towers RA
staff and I will work hard to
help you adjust to college,
establish meaningful
relationships with each
other, support you in your
personal and academic
endeavors, and to become
an involved member of your
living community, the
campus community, and
greater-Houston
community. Another great
push of mine is to have an
active Hall Council (which is
made up by ANY of YOU)
and an overwhelming
presence in intramural
sports (also made up of
you!) These are great ways
for you to become involved
right away! Here’s a little bit
more about me….A few
things I like include shopping, swimming, going out
to new restaurants, NFL (GO
VIKINGS!), board games, interior design, reality shows,
College football, traveling,
Broadway/musicals, Christmas time, laughter, good
storytelling, palm trees and
rollercoasters. A few things
I strongly dislike include
sharks, airplanes/flying
(although I’ve done it a lot)
1
liars, apples, sushi, and tea.
NOW, it’s your turn….My office is located in
the Moody Towers Commons (the lobby)
and I encourage each and every one of you
to stop by, say hi, and introduce yourself. I
am beyond excited for your arrival and for
the year we get to spend together.
Lastly…Welcome to Moody Towers!
Your RLC,
Alex
