Come join the youth recovery revolution to ensure that the epidemic of addiction ends now.
Houston was faced with the reality of burying and locking up its young people at an alarming rate. In one
of the largest cities in America, visionary counselors, law school dropouts, aspiring rock musicians,
retired football players, oil industry executives, and church leaders came together to build the world’s
largest peer-driven youth and family recovery community. http://generationfoundfilm.com.
It’s time to face the elephant in the community. That we turn our back on substance abuse and our kids
are dying every day from it. 90% of all substance use disorders start in adolescence.
GENERATION FOUND, is co-created by filmmakers Greg Williams and two-time Emmy award winning
editor Jeff Reilly, of the groundbreaking addiction film, THE ANONYMOUS PEOPLE. For over two years an
advisory committee of fourteen Houston organizations guided the community throughout the film
making process, led by Suzanne Jarvis, Associate Producer and Recovery Advocacy Co-Chair for the
Houston Recovery Initiative.
North American rights for Generation Found have been acquired by Gathr Films and is being distributed
nationally beginning September 1, 2016 through theatrical release. Currently 155 screenings are
scheduled nation-wide in celebration of National Recovery Month with more to come.
“We want to give youth the courage to embrace who they are. They may be afraid of what comes next or
confused about what direction to go. We need to remind them that they are surrounded by recovery
community that will help them walk through that fear.” states an Archway Academy graduate in the
film.
“I’ve been in recovery for 15 years,’’ said Director Greg Williams. “Do you know that my recovery as a
young person is a $2 million cost-savings? That’s the long-term cost of incarceration, emergency room
visits, and lost productivity when a high school student leaves school because of addiction.”
This story is not only a deeply personal story, but one with real utility for communities struggling with
youth addiction worldwide. www.youthrecoveryrevolution.org for national adolescent recovery
