These small jars make wonderful gifts for Mom and Dad.
Fill the "Nuts 'N Bolts" jar with nuts, put paper clips in one for the home office,
candy in another, fill with a special tea blend or, perhaps, potpourri.
MATERIALS:
small jars with lids -- baby food jars work well
tacky glue
acrylic craft paint or spray paint
paint brushes
DECORATING OPTIONS:
paper clips
used postage stamps
nuts and bolts
buttons
fabric scraps and trims
1. Spray paint the jar lid or paint with acrylic craft paint.
2. Decorate by gluing paper clips on top of the lid.
Use to store paper clips inside the jar.
3. Decorate by gluing nuts and bolts on top of the lid. Fill the jar with
nuts. Add a note that reads, "Nuts to You".
4. Decorate by gluing some used postage stamps to decorate the
outside of the jar. Use your jar to store postage stamps, paper clips or
rubber bands.
5. Decorate a jar by gluing buttons to the top of the lid. Fill with
candy, tea or potpourri.
6.
Glue fabric scraps to jar lid. Decorate with
trims. Fill with candy, tea or potpourri.
