Employee Benefits
As part of our membership to n3 (formerly GSB), University of Otago staff can
access discounts for personal purchases from a range of suppliers. There are
three ways to access discounts.
Rewards Passports
As part of the University of Otago, you will receive a Rewards Passport. This passport is
designed to fit in your wallet and give you access to discounts on personal purchases
from participating suppliers. To redeem a discount, simply show your passport in-store.
If you do not have a Rewards Passport, please contact Brian Donnelly:
[email protected]. Please note, if you have a Passport with old GSB branding,
this will still be accepted until its expiry.
Download discount vouchers
You can download discount vouchers from over 20 leading suppliers such as Resene,
Avis and Budget Rent-a-Car, VTNZ and Bridgestone. Suppliers are listed on the
following page.
To access vouchers, visit http://www.n3.co.nz/employee-benefits?my=vouchers
To download vouchers, tick which suppliers you would like discounts from, then fill
in your details at the bottom of the page and click ‘submit’. Print the vouchers off to
redeem discounts in-store. There is no limit to the number of times you can download
and use vouchers.
Special offers and promotions
n3 often send out special offers and exclusive promotions via email – such as
invite-only Noel Leeming sales, hotel specials from Best Hotel Deals and offers from
Powershop.
To sign up to these Employee Benefits promotions and offers, email [email protected] with
your name, company name and the email address you would like these sent to.
Offers and promotions will also be posted on the University of Otago website under the
Employment & Benefits section.

About n3
GSB, or the Government Stores Board, started off as a government agency over
100 years ago getting better deals for government departments. In November
2013 GSB re-branded to n3. n3 now have over 12,000 businesses in their
network and contracts with over 100 leading suppliers, offering significant
purchasing discounts for businesses.
