She supports sustainability initiatives and new vehicle programs, and environmental compliance for U.S. and Latin American facilities. In 2014, Arana Sanchez led the development of “Best in Ford”, a sustainability program aimed to reduce waste and water usage at Ford Manufacturing facilities by identifying the best performer and sharing global best practices. Ernesto Arredondo, Jr. is the area president for the San Diego Community Bank in Southern California. An 18-year banking veteran, Arredondo oversees 837 financial professionals and 55 retail stores, with over $4.9 billion in total deposits and $1.5 billion in total loans. Ford Motor Company She began her career at Ford in 2005 after earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois. She held a position with Ford’s Global Policy department, where she led the development of Ford’s CO2 manufacturing strategy and implemented processes to meet mandatory Greenhouse Gas (GHG) requirements. She is also responsible for the development of Ford’s first GHG inventories in Asia Pacific and Latin America. Karina Baril joined Lowe’s in May 2014, as manager of international operations and development. Before joining Dell, she held various roles in Puerto Rico and the U.S., at places such as the U.S. federal government patent office, Hewlett Packard, and IBM. Before starting her corporate career, Baril served as program officer for the U.S. Millennium Challenge Corporation and project analyst for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. During her time with the federal government, Baril identified investment opportunities across Latin America that contributed to economic development. Bandas-Franzetti received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Science in International Logistics from the School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has multiple U.S. patents in the manufacturing field. She is part of the leadership board of Dell’s Hispanic employee resource group, Adelante, and serves as liaison for the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Edgar Bermudez is a vice president and manager for Wells Fargo’s Credit Management group. He leads a team of risk and turnaround professionals who manage commercial credits in the Florida region; specifically the Central and Southwest Coast. Consero Global Prior to her new role, Benavides was the chief financial officer/chief operations officer for the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) where she was responsible for helping its leadership define the strategic direction of the organization. Previously, Benavides was a senior finance consultant overseeing the Global Audit and Transformation budget that included 300+ employees across the world including roles as a revenue recognition leader for the Services Accounting team, global lead analyst for the Consumer/Small-Medium business group, and as a senior audit consultant. Benavides is also the former treasurer of the NSHMBA National Board of Directors and chair of the Audit Committee. Benavides received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas A&M University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Wells Fargo & Company Bermudez is responsible for leading, directing, and providing guidance to a team of more than 12 direct reports and administering a portfolio of $600 million in commercial loan assets. Gloria Candelario Hossri has over thirteen years of rich and diverse Johnson & Johnson experience and an educational background in management, marketing, and economics. Currently, she is part of the Application Services Commercial and R&D Leadership team with responsibility for global digital delivery process. MGM Resorts International She serves as the chair of the MGM Resorts International Hispanic/Latino network group and sits on the boards for the Women’s Chamber of Nevada and the Congressional Award of Nevada. She is also a member of the Mirage CSR Council and the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce. She has been a member of HOLA, the Hispanic employee resource group of Johnson & Johnson, since 2001. She joined the senior leadership team in January 2012 and co-leads HOLA’s Support Business Growth strategy. Currently, he manages the Border Operations (BOP) plant with 1,000 employees and close to $4 billion in sales. Nydia Correa is a robustness engineer process lead in General Motors’ (GM) Product Engineering Quality (PEQ) organization. In this role, Correa is responsible for ensuring the proper execution of engineering design tools to achieve quality targets in future vehicle programs. Correa joined GM in 2007 and transitioned to the PEQ organization in 2011. General Electric Under Cisneros’ leadership, BOP has grown from $185 million in sales to $1 billion by 2015 through NPI and TOW. The operation is VPP star certified where people engagement was mentioned as best in class. The plant has received multiple awards in operational excellence; for example, “Best Lean Project Globally” and “First Global Lean Six Sigma Certified Line.” Cisneros graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Juarez Institute of Technology (ITCJ) and a master’s degree in finance from Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM). He is APICS, CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Manager) and Six Sigma green belt certified. General Motors Correa has demonstrated a profound commitment towards philanthropy as the GM Hispanic Initiative Team (GMHIT) community service lead, as A World in Motion program coordinator and as a Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development tax assistance program volunteer. Correa obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering in 2006 from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez and obtained a master’s degree in automotive engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2011. He is known for effectively leading people through change and delivering double-digit improvements in savings, quality, and cycle time. Karina Diehl is the director of community affairs for MillerCoors where she manages a national team focused on the brewer’s corporate responsibility strategy. She oversees all civic leadership and economic empowerment initiatives and serves on several national corporate alliance boards on behalf of MillerCoors. Johnson & Johnson MillerCoors Diehl also serves on various committees within the organization such as the Marketing Compliance Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Council. She began her career in communications and managed media relations for multiple global brands in industries such as technology, automotive, consumer packaged goods, and alcohol. Diaz is the co-chair of Johnson & Johnson’s Hispanic ERG, HOLA, and represents Johnson & Johnson at various diversity events. He is also the chair of the ERG subcommittee to the LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and he actively engages with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate chambers in supplier diversity and multicultural marketing initiatives. Raul Duany is senior vice president of corporate communications for the American Cancer Society, the largest voluntary health organization in the United States, which is four million strong. In this role, he is charged with strategic communications to engage and inspire stakeholders committed to saving lives and creating a world with less cancer by helping people stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back. Since joining MassMutual in 1997, Echevarria has held a variety of roles, with the past 14 years spent leading financial and service oriented teams and departments. In her current role as the head of USIG Life & DI Post Issue Operations and Tax Administration, she provides operational and strategic leadership and oversight of an organization comprising more than 130 team members across Springfield, Mass. and Phoenix, Ariz. She defines and executes on strategic initiatives and business process improvements, and is accountable for the attainment of all service, quality, productivity, budget, and key performance goals. Before joining the society in 2014 as a member of the executive management team, he worked in several strategic and corporate communications roles with international and global companies such as Western Union Financial Services and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Army and in senior civilian leadership positions with the U.S. government including the Pentagon’s U.S. Southern Command, and in various assignments with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Immigration. Echevarria is the chair of MassMutual’s Hispanic employee resource group, ALMMA (Association of Latino’s at MassMutual & Allies). She is also a 2014 recipient of the Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever™ award offered through the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility. Prior to joining ESPN, she provided HR support and leadership to the sales organization at Revlon, Inc. Johnson & Johnson Fagnilli acts as a liaison for the Latin America business units in her role as Latin America policy lead at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company. She brings her knowledge and perspective of the region’s rapidly-changing political and business environments to provide policy and intelligence support regarding the Latin America region. Since 2007, Fagnilli has been involved in Johnson & Johnson’s Hispanic employee resource group, HOLA, where she has served in positions of increasing responsibility. Today, she is the chair of HOLA’s senior leadership team and its Center of Excellence. She oversees HOLA’s global strategic plans and provides support in a wide range of areas. In 2013, Fagnilli received the Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers™ award. He holds a master’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida State University. He is a founding board member of ¡FUERTE!, WVO’s Hispanic associate business group, and serves as its chairman. Maria Jose Gatti serves as the executive director of philanthropy and community engagement for MGM Resorts International’s Corporate Operations. She is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships with national and local community organizations. Through these relationships, she supports the company’s business objectives, and additionally facilitates the company’s participation in programs and events that support the community. She also implements programs to help educate and engage the employees of MGM Resorts on community related initiatives, activities, and issues. Luis A. Rivera is an assistant vice president in The Hartford’s Middle Market Organization, leading the Specialty General Liability Practice (SGL). He is directly accountable for the financial performance of SGL and Specialty Excess/Umbrella lines of business across the country. Rivera develops the strategic direction of a dynamic business model focused primarily on insurance solutions for high hazard products and premises risks. As the underwriting officer of SGL, he ensures that clear guidelines on appetite, exposures, and controls are in place to preserve the superior underwriting quality and results of the SGL book of business. The Hartford Delta Air Lines Quiroga joined Delta Air Lines through the merger with Northwest Airlines (NWA) where she held the position of director of corporate finance. At NWA, she was responsible for debt and lease management, interest expense forecasting, and capital markets.
