Technical Data Sheet SURECEL™ T-60 All Acrylic Foam Cell Promoter for Cellular Vinyl Applications Regional Product Availability • North America Description SURECEL T-60 is a foam cell promoter employing reactive polymer technology which offers greater expansion than conventional process aids, lower density than conventional process aids and a very wide process window. This combination of benefits will allow the sheet producer to manufacture thicker sheet at a lower density and uniform thickness than before while having the flexibility to control that over a wide range of pull rates. SURECEL T-60 will continue to deliver the fine cell structure of previous SURECEL platform offers. Articulated Advantages • Higher expansion than industry standards • Typically lower density imparted same as previous SURECEL offerings • Wide process window over a greater range of pull rates Applications SURECEL™ T-60 is intended for use in rigid PVC free-foam sheet or calibrated foamed rigid PVC profile processes to deliver density reduction. Gauge control limits the extent to which a manufacturer can slow the puller and thus the thickness at which a sheet can be extruded. Excellent gauge control over a range of output rates delivers this benefit. Excellent performance and value: Taken together, the benefits delivered by SURECEL T-60 allow a manufacturer of sheet to achieve thicker sheet at lower density with excellent cell structure. The micrographs below demonstrate the improvement which can be made over current extruded sheet. For standard ¾” sheet extrusion, SURECEL T-60 will deliver lower cost by imparting lower density and limiting scrap generation thanks to the excellent flow characteristics imparted to the PVC melt.
