and I am going to be your Spanish teacher for this school year. I
have high expectations of you, and I am sure you will show your friends, family and
teachers how good you can be at Spanish if you put the effort into it.

Homework
Homework will be assigned almost every week. You are expected to turn in or
submit your homework on the due date. Your are going to earn 10 points for each
homework assignment that you turn in on time; however, you will only receive 5 points if
your homework is late.
Absences
If you are absent from class for ​
any​
reason, it is your responsibility to find out
what you missed in class. Make sure you copy the notes we took during that class, and make
up any work.
Grading
Now, you are going to earn an A,B,C,D or F grade for Spanish class every semester.
We are going to be together the whole school year, so you will receive your first grade at
the end of the second quarter, and that is in January. The second grade will be given to
you at the end of the fourth quarter in June. The following percentages break down your
grade.
Tests and quizzes 80%
Homework, do it now, and some quizzes 20 %
Make-ups
If you are absent during a test or quiz, it is your responsibility to make
arrangements to make up the missed assessment. If you do not make up your test or quiz,
it will be averaged as a zero in your final grade.
Did you fail the test? you will have a second chance to do better. You need to make
sure that you study again. The test is going to be different from the original. The highest
grade you will be able to earn is 90%. Please do not show up to retake the test and ask,
What is it on? If you are having a second chance PLEASE take advantage of it and study!

I am

more practice, stay after school any Wednesday in room 63.
