PRODUCTION METHOD
WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS® is produced through the chemical reaction of defluorinated
phosphoric acid with highly reactive magnesium-oxide, under strictly controlled conditions. The
phosphoric acid used is purified, eliminating the undesirable elements. The resulting product is a
source of both highly soluble and therefore highly available phosphorus and magnesium.
PACKAGING LABELING AND STORAGE
WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS® is available in bulk, 1000 Kg big bags or 25 Kg bags and either
transported by truck, by rail or by ship. All products are labelled conform to regulation (EC)
767/2009 and identified by means of a lotnumber in order that trace ability is guaranteed conform
to the Feed Hygiene legislation 183/2005/EC.
Properly stored in a dry and cool place it is recommended to use WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS®
within 3 years of manufacture.
USE OF WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS®
WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS® is, in contrast to other magnesium sources, highly palatable and,
therefore, provides feed producers with more flexibility for the production of feeds containing high
levels of magnesium. Above all WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS® is less reactive than for example
high reactive magnesium oxides. WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS® contains both highly available
phosphorus and magnesium not only for ruminants but also for pigs. WINDMILL
MAGNUMPHOS® can alternatively also be used as a tool to reduce stress in pigs. WINDMILL
MAGNUMPHOS® is a free-flowing granular feed phosphate that blends easily with other feed
materials.
WHY WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS®
WINDMILL MAGNUMPHOS® is the magnesium phosphate with the highest magnesium
solubility and thus magnesium availability together with a low reactivity. Therefore, WINDMILL
MAGNUMPHOS® is especially suited to be used for the production of free access minerals both
for cattle and pigs.
