Rising 2nd grade students
St. Lous School
Summer IXL Math
Dear Parents,
We are very excited to have your child move
up to second grade. We will be busy this summer
planning a productive and successful year.
In order
st
to continue the learing from 1 grade into the summer,
we are requiring all students to complete ixl and read
at least six books.
Please read, read, read! We cannot stress enough
how important it is to read everyday. Reading helps
your child with comprehension and fluency. Please look
at the attached book list and use it as a guide in
selecting books for your child. Read at least six
books, record the books on the “Summer Reading Log”
form, and turn it in the first day of school. This
will count as Reading test grade.
Ixl.com work must be completed from May 27-August
9. If your child has already completed the section on
ixl he/she must redo the section to reflect it was
completed between May 27-August 9. This assignment
will be a Math test grade.
Have a safe and fun summer!
