MISSION STATEMENT
Resource Center For Sexual & Gender Diversity (RCSGD)
805-893-5847
The Women, Gender, & Sexual Equity Department
uses a feminist approach to provide support, advocacy,
resources and education to the UCSB community.
We value and respect all genders, gender identities,
gender presentations, bodies, sexual orientations, and
racial and ethnic identities while challenging all forms
of oppression. We work towards creating a campus
environment that is safe, equitable, and just.

RCSGD's 15TH YEAR
ANNIVERSARY GALA
6:00 p.m.
Main Forum, SRB
Join UCSB and the Resource Center for
Sexual & Gender Diversity (RCSGD) to
celebrate 15 years of serving the lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ)
communities. It will be an evening to celebrate
accomplishments, unite our communities,
and aim for future progress. The RCSGD was
first initiated in October 1998 (the day after
the vigil for Matthew Shepard) after students
spoke to the Chancellor about the lack of
support for LGBTQ students at UCSB and the
need for allies. Fifteen years later, the LGBTQ
community is dynamic and impactful, and the
RCSGD continues to strive to make UCSB a
truly inclusive and safe space for all people.
