How a river forms
A river starts at the source. The start of a is always at a higher
elevation. Gravity pulls water downward from the source. The next
part of the river is the tributaries. There small rivers or streams that
lead into a larger river. The river becomes wider and deeper as it travels
downward. The last part of the river is the mouth. The mouth is were
the river flows into a larger body of water. This also is the end of the
river.
