The paint included is a specially formulated non-toxic acrylic paint that dries permanently on most surfaces, so be careful.
Paint may stain fabrics, furniture and other surfaces. Wear a smock or old clothes and cover your work area with newspaper.
Clean up any spills immediately while the paint is still wet. Dried paint may be peeled off some but not all surfaces.
To prevent the paint from drying out, cap paint when not in use. If the nozzle becomes clogged use the tip of a paper clip to
clean it out.
Window cleaner can be used to remove any paint residue from windows and mirrors. Check with an adult before using any
cleaning product.
3D Wonder Paint projects may stick together. To preserve your designs, keep your projects separate from each other.
3D Wonder Paint projects may fade or change over time. This is a normal part of the crafting process. Save any leftover paint
for touch up and repairs, or to make new 3D Wonder Paint art.
You will need to select a work area where your project can dry undisturbed for several hours or overnight.
Paint Tube Tips
With your scissors, carefully cut the tip of each applicator nozzle as shown. Cut along the line as close to
the tip as possible. If you cut too far down, the paint will come out too thick and it will be difficult to control.

Outline Your Design
Decorating Your Trinket Box
Remember, when you are finished, you will peel your picture off of the plastic sheet as
one piece. When outlining and painting your design be sure all lines are connected and
all spaces are filled in.
You can paint directly on your trinket box or use small
pieces of dried 3D Wonder Paint to create a unique
mosaic effect. If using more than one color, the paint will
blend together creating interesting color combinations.
You can use the patterns we have included in the kit – or draw your own designs.
1. Choose your design and slide the
sheet into the plastic project sheet
as shown.
2. Use the black or silver outliner paint
to trace your designs. Be sure to create
a continuous unbroken line.
Mosaic Look
Working on the plastic project sheet, squeeze out strips of
3D Wonder Paint. Set them aside to dry. When they are
completely dry use your scissors to cut them into random
mosaic shapes. Glue the pieces onto your trinket box.
Finish off your design with glitter glue and rhinestones.
3. Set your design aside to dry. This
will take approximately 30 minutes.
Stained Glass Look
1) Using the outline paint, create shapes on your
trinket box. Let dry for about 30 minutes.
2) Fill in the outlines with 3D Wonder Paint to
create a stained glass look.
3) You can also create the shapes on your clear
sheet. Peel them off when completely dry
and then glue them onto the trinket box.
4. Before you move onto the next steps,
lightly touch the outline to be sure
it is dry.
Paint and Decorate
Now it’s time to fill in your design. For best results, apply a thin even layer of paint. If the paint is
too thick it will take a long time to dry and it will be difficult to remove from the plastic sheet.
1. Fill in your design with the 3D Wonder Paint of your choice. Hold the applicator slightly above
the plastic project sheet and gently squeeze to release the paint.
2. Use the applicator tip to spread the paint around. Be sure the paint covers all open areas.
3. When you are finished painting set it aside to dry. Depending on the thickness of the paint, heat
and humidity, drying times may vary. For best results, allow your designs to dry overnight.
3D Accents
Once your designs are completely dry, you can add rhinestones and wiggly eyes.
Use a dot of the white craft glue to stick them in place. Allow the glue to dry
completely before displaying your designs.
Peel and Press
• Gently peel the design away from the plastic project sheet.
If it sticks, or is difficult to remove, it needs more
drying time.
• Press your designs against a clean window.
They cling like magic! You can display these on
mirrors too.
Depending on the amount of light and temperature, the color
and consistency of your window art may change over time.
Save any leftover paint to create new art.
Sun Catcher
Your kit includes four plastic shapes - oval, heart, circle and flower.
Use these shapes to create ornaments, window decorations or even
a frame. Look on the box for samples and ideas. Remove the plastic
protector from sun catcher before you begin to paint. You can hang
them using ribbon or elastic cord.
Jewelry
Caution - if your jewelry is exposed to water or
moisture, the colors may bleed onto your skin or
clothing.
Rolled
Beads
Rolled Beads - Squeeze out strips of 3D Wonder Paint onto
the plastic project sheet. Let dry overnight. Roll the dried strips
around a pencil to make a bead – use your scissors to make the
strips smaller as needed. String these beads onto the ribbon
included to make a necklace or bracelet.
Flat
Beads
Flat Beads - Outline small shapes and fill them in. Insert a
jump ring while the shape is drying. String these on the
elastic cord included to make a charm bracelet.
Pendants
2.
GLUE
Pendants - Use the black or silver outline to make a
pendant shape. Once it has dried, fill it in with 3D Wonder
Paint. Set it aside to dry overnight. Fold the top of the
pendant over the ribbon or cord and then glue it in place. 1.

Layered Flowers
2.) Now you’re ready to prepare the unicorn base. First bend a chenille stem in half.
1.) Using the flower pattern sheets, trace two different size
flowers. It’s a good idea to use more paint so the petals will be
thicker. You can either use outliner paint or not. If you do use it,
remember to wait for it to dry before you fill it in.
3.) Continue bending the stem to create the base of the unicorn as shown.
2.) Create a petal effect by adding dots at the edges of the flower
shapes as shown. Try using a different colors. As the paint settles,
the colors will fade together creating a cool blended effect.
3.) When the paint is
4.) Starting with the
completely dry, use your
scissors to create a slit in
your flowers as shown.
5.) Continue building
smallest flower, wrap the
flower around the end of
the chenille, overlapping
two petals. Gently pull or
stretch the flower to give
it dimension. Push the
base of the flower firmly
against the chenille to be
sure it sticks.
6.) Bend the tip of the
your flower with the
remaining shape. Then
add a drop of glue to
the base of the flower
to secure the petals.
4.) Now you’re ready to start wrapping the unicorn using your paint parts. Begin with
the head and then move on to the legs. The 3D paint will stick to itself, so don’t worry
about having to use glue.
7.) Create leaves for your
chenille stem down and
then glue a rhinestone
in the center.

paint. When the leaves are

them firmly into place.
5.) Cut the tail and mane so it looks like the unicorn has loose hair. Roll the horn piece
into a cone shape to create the unicorn horn.

Marbleizing Techniques
Ice Cream Cone
The marbleizing technique is a great way to add interest and texture to your designs.
Simply lay down the colors and then create designs using a toothpick or paper clip as shown.
1.) Fill in the ice cream cone pieces on the pattern sheet. You do not need to outline them.
Squiggly
Heart
Add a line
of paint over
a color.
Add drops

a color.
Drag a toothpick
or paper clip
through line
of paint in a
squiggly motion.
Drag a toothpick
or paper clip
through the
middle of the
dots in one direction
to make a heart pattern.
Star burst
Add a series of
alternate color
paint circles.
Drag a toothpick
or paper clip from
the inside out in
a straight line and
repeat as many
times as you like.
Zig Zag
If you like, make your ice cream multicolored by adding more paint colors. Swirl them
together with a toothpick for a fun marble effect.
2.) Once the pieces are completely dry, use scissors to cut a slit into the cone piece as
shown. Wrap it around itself to create a cone shape.
3.) Take a wadded piece of tissue or paper towel and form it into a ball. Wrap the paper
with the ice cream piece creating a ball as shown. Press the overlap of the ice cream piece
onto itself so it stays closed.
Add a line
of paint over
a color.
Drag a toothpick
or paper clip
through line
of paint in a
zig zag pattern.
4.) Place the ice cream onto the cone while stuffing the overlapped part inside so that it
will not show. Though you do not need it, you may want to use glue to hold it together.
3D Ladybug
1.) Trace the 3D ladybug and leaf pattern with the black outline paint. Don’t forget to fill in
the black dots. Add any other details you like.
2.) Once the outline paint is completely dry,
fill in the lady bug and leaf with the
3D Wonder Paint.
3.) When the paint is completely dry, stuff a wadded piece of tissue or paper towel under
the body of the ladybug. Remove any extra as needed - no paper should be sticking out.
Press the outer edge of the ladybug body onto the leaf. Use glue if you wish. – Voila!
5.) Stuff the cherry the same way you did the ice cream, only with a much smaller piece of
paper. Place the little leaf on the ice cream cone then the cherry on top. Fold the leaf up and
press it against the cherry to give it depth. Yum! Your ice cream cone is finished.
