Everything began in America ...
It was in America that the German master
brewer, Kaspar Pfaudler, came up with
the idea of accelerating the process of
fermentation by having it carried in a
vacuum. Kaspar Pfaudler won the support of others who helped to carry his
idea forward. Together they founded
“The Pfaudler Co.”, and started the
production of enameled steel tanks in
Rochester, in 1884. The idea of using
enamel proved to be so convincing that
