Proper capitalizations and correct spelling:
“He was pious; he went to church every sunday.”
Run-on sentences:
“Tony asked Phill what the religion was he had found and Phill answered Buddhism and tried to convince
Tony to become a Buddhist.”
Sentence fragments:
“One day, Marny castigated a comment about Eli. One he would see as circuitous.”
Use of sentence variety:
“They all yearned for him to take a shower. The amount of time before he would actually take a shower
seemed ephemeral. He was not a pliant man to society’s ways.”
Agreement between subject and verb:
“Everything the priest did show that he was a pious person.”
Agreement with antecedents:
“If he does those two things he has one secret task left. Bill had many premonitions about it but when it
was revealed he started to worry.”
