God is Always Watching
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And
God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can
bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so
that you can endure it. I Cor. 10:13
Promise: Your greatest temptations don’t have to seize you.
1. Your Temptation is Normal.
Life Group Conversation:
1. Reflect on the progressive nature of temptation, which leads to
sin. How have you let temptation feed wrong desires, which
then leads to sin?
2. What is one area of temptation you are facing in your life
today?
3. What are some possible “ways out?”
4. How do the truths in 1 Corinthians 10:13 bring hope and
strength to followers of Jesus when we are facing temptation?
5. How would a deepened trust in God make your temptation less
attractive?
6. What are some of Satan’s lies and deceptions that make us
fearful to tell others about our temptations and sins?

Day One - Read: 1 Cor. 10:1-13
Reflect: What is the one area of temptation you are facing in your
life today? What are some possible “ways out?”


Reflect: With Christ’s help, what struggle must I confront?
Day Three - Read: Hebrews 2:11-18
Reflect: Jesus, who was tempted, understands what I’m going
through. How does this truth help me to look Him in the eye when
I sin?
Day Four - Read: Psalm 18:16-19
Reflect: What are the promises provided to me from this passage
that give me hope in my moments of greatest challenge?
Day Five – Read: James 1:12-118
Reflect: What blessings in your life are the results of not giving
into temptation? When and where do you find yourself most
vulnerable to temptation? What assurance of God’s character does
James reveal that give you hope you can endure?
