(also known as display cakes)!
A common trend is to have a fake cake option (also known as a “display” cake). !
We do offer this service. This is styrofoam cake dummy made specifically for your
wedding. We do not reuse our fake cakes. This cake is decorated !
just like a real cake and with real icing, typically fondant. There is a !
piece cut out in the back of the cake big enough for a slice of real cake. !
This is used to do the first “slicing” of the cake and is used to feed !
it to each other. Pricing starts with the design fee of $175 and goes!
up from there. In this situation you can serve sheet cake, bite size desserts !
or even cupcakes. People often go with the fake cake because they want !
the fondant look but would rather eat and serve a buttercream cake, cupcakes !
or other dessert options. This option can often be a cheaper option than a real cake,
however, that depends on the complexity of the cake design and size of your wedding.!

• Deposit is $100 and is required to reserve your date. This will go towards your total cost. !
• We also require a $100 security deposit check at the time of your wedding deposit. This is for the use of our cake stands, cupcake stands, dessert table platters, etc.
THIS CHECK IS NOT CASHED unless the items are damaged or not returned within 10 business days.!
• We encourage people to do a deposit before or after a consult because dates do go fast. It is still recommended even if you are still unsure of your choices because your
oder can be modified until 2 weeks before your wedding date.!
• If you choose to do cupcakes or desserts, there is a set up/rental fee that ranges from $50-200.00+; which depends on the size of your wedding as well as the detail and design of
the set up. We also have cake and cupcakes stands to use or rent for non-dessert table weddings. Email or call for more information.!
• There is a $50 delivery fee within the Des Moines Metro area. Outside the Metro delivery fee depends on distance & what is being transported. We do offer full delivery & set up
services within & outside the Metro area. You can also pick up your order & waive this delivery fee; however, we do not take responsibility of any items once they leave the bakery.!
• Sales tax based at 6% is added to your total bill.!
• A second consultation may be required if the initial consultation is 6+ months prior to your wedding date. !
• Final numbers and payment is due 1-2 weeks prior to your wedding date. Nothing will be delivered until payment is made in full.!
• A complimentary 6’’ cake is provided on your 1 year Anniversary. Just call the bakery 1+ week prior to your Anniversary Celebration/Date to place your order. We will bake a fresh
cake in the flavor of your choice! Many people save the top tier of their cake and freeze it to eat on their Anniversary. You are more than welcome to still do this and still take
advantage of the complimentary freshly baked cake.!
