Welcome Back Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely half term break and have returned refreshed for our next half term Attendance The class with the best attendance before the holidays was class 5 with 99.2% attendance – well done! The class with the best attendance so far this year is Class 6 with 97.6% well done! Good Behaviour The class with the highest number of good behaviour (green frog) awarded before the holidays was class 4 with 100%. Class 6 came second with 97%. Well done. Assemblies Parents are invited to attend the assemblies on a Friday morning which start at 9.00am, unless stated otherwise. The assemblies next half term will be led by the following classes. St James’ Church – events on Sunday afternoons. Events for all the family – on the 2nd, 4th & 5th Sunday of each month. 4.00pm 5.30pm (ish). 28th February – In the Wilderness 13th March – Sweet smelling feet! 27th March – Easter Day Celebration Easter Competition Once again we will be having our very creative annual Easter competition. To enter the competition children need to use an empty real hen’s egg (to empty it just put a small pin hole in the top and bottom and blow out the contents). The egg can then be decorated in any way that you like. We have had some very interesting and unusual creations in the past and look forward to seeing the new ideas from this year’s entries. All entries MUST be brought into school by Wednesday 30th March along with an entry fee of 50p. Entries will be judged on Wednesday 30th March and the judge’s decision is final! All entries must be in school on time. 4th March - Yr 4 Mother’s Day 11th March – Yr 5- After assembly we will have our Fairtrade tea party – All parents are invited. 18th March – Yr 6 24th March – Thursday Easter Service led by Year 1 & 2 in Church – 9.00am Thank you to year 3 who led today’s assembly. Please make sure your child has their swimming kit and towel in school each week. Swimming lessons are compulsory so children do need to take part. Our aim is to get every child swimming so it is really important that your child attends swimming lessons every week so this goal can be achieved. Year 6 SATS Revision club Year 6 has started their SATS revision club. This club will run over several weeks leading up to SATS week – the week beginning Monday 9thMay. The revision club will run every morning from 8.00am – 8.45am. We would like all of year 6 to attend. Children must not come before 8.00am. Thank you. Thursday 3rd March Football Club – (Y3–Y4) - This club is now full. Cross Country Club at The Heys – (y3-Y6) 3.00pm – 4.30pm Children to be collected from the Heys Primary school. Letters for the above clubs have been sent out please return permission slips as soon as possible if your child requires a place. Places are limited and not guaranteed some clubs are now full. All the above after school’s clubs with the exception of Wednesday sports club & Friday cross country at The Heys will start at 3:00pm and finish at 4.00pm.
