Thank You Volunteers!
To thank and honor our volunteers at
Sauer we will be holding a Volunteer
Appreciation Open House. Without the
volunteers, we would not be able to hold
all the different activities, maintain plants,
pass out cookies and offer all the variety of
religious services. Volunteers are vital to
our operation and are always in need. If
you are interested in becming a volunteer,
stop by our volunteer nook located in the
main lobby. Applications and information
are posted and available. Amber
Thompson is our volunteer coordinator
and would be happy to answer questions
and get you ready to be a volunteer!
Thank you to all
families for your
understanding
and cooperation
with the Tamiflu protocol that
was implemented in our facility in
March for all residents. This
process was vital to containing
our influenza case to only one!
Sauer 50 year

We are looking for recipe submissions from
Staff, Residents and Families to create a 50

several recipes) to share, we would love to
include it in our book. The deadline for
recipes will be April 15. Drop off your
submission in the TR office or Kitchen or
send by email to
[email protected]. Recipe
submission forms are
also available for use. If

Spring Cleaning
It’s that time of year again. As we
think about cleaning out closets
and reorganizing our own spaces,
please take some time to help
your loved one clean out their
closets and dressers. Some
helpful hints:
 Make sure all clothing is
properly labeled (items that
need to be labeled can be
brought to the nurses’
station) and remove items
that no longer fit
 Check for snacks and treats
that may have found their
way to the back of a drawer
 Clean up outdated items off of
bulletin boards
 Contact maintenance to hang
up new picture collages or
other wall hangings
 Remember when arranging
items that staff also may
need to move things to
provide cares for their
residents
Thanks for all your help!
Did you know...?
Our residents have an email account. We
have one account for all residents and
when you send an email we will print or
assist the resident with reading and
responding. The email address is:
[email protected]
Please write the recipient name in the
subject line for easier delivery. We have
lots of "Grandmas" here :)!
We are currently having issues with
replying to emails, please also include your
email address somewhere in the email if
you would like a reply.
Emails are printed/delivered during TR
office hours (M-F, 7:30 - 4:00 pm).
Pass it on to kids, grandkids, greatgrandkids and
friends. Please
send forwards
sparingly. We
look forward to
hearing from you!
New Resident
Rights
Handbook
The Minnesota Department of Health
updated the resident bill of rights with
some new information. If you would
like to have an updated copy, please
see Amanda in Social Services.
Posters displaying the updated bill of
rights are located by the East and West
nurse’s station to read as well.
