Day for your overnight flight to Iceland
May 17, 2017 - Reykjavik
6:45 AM - Arrive in Reykjavik and meet your JE Tour Director
8:00 AM - Highlights: Visit the Blue Lagoon where you will have the morning to relax in the geothermal water.
12:00 PM - Check-in to Hotel Holt
12:30 PM - Lunch
2:00 PM - Visit the National Museum of Iceland and the Culture House
7:00 PM - Dinner at Restaurant Reykjavik
May 18, 2017 - Golden Circle

9:00 AM - Highlights: You will begin your trip south along the Kjolur Highland Road. You’ll pass between glaciers.
Visit Thingvellir National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the place where the tectonic plates of Europe and
America meet together.
Visit the Geysir as well as the Gullfoss Waterfall.
5:00 PM - Return to Reykjavik
7:00 PM Dinner at the Hard Rock Café Reykjavik

9:00 AM - Highlights include: You will travel along the beautiful southern coast stretching along the mountains.
Visit two waterfalls today: Seljalandsfos and Skogafoss.
You will continue pass the famous volcano Eyjafjallajokull (last eruption 2010).
Visit the town of Vik which is the southernmost point of Iceland and view many sea birds and puffins. Vik beaches are
the black sand beaches where you will walk along exploring.
Stop in Kirjubaejarklaustur village with you will be sure to fall in love with. A short walk from the village you can walk on
the hexagonal basalt floor created by the volcanic eruption called Kirkjugolflo meaning “church floor”.

Enjoy the Deildartunguhver hot spring in Reykholtsdalur, Iceland. It is characterized by a very high flow rate for a hot
spring and water emerges at 97 °C. It is the highest-flow hot spring in Europe. Continue on to the Hraunfossar waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 metres out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava
field which flowed from an eruption of one of the volcanoes lying under the glacier Langjökull

Visit the Glaumbaer Farm Museum

the Bárðardalur district of North-Central Iceland at the beginning of the Sprengisandur highland road. Continue to
Mývatn, a volcanic lake in northern Iceland
You will have lunch here and time to explore.

Dettifoss is a waterfall in Vatnajökull National Park in Northeast Iceland, and is reputed to be the most powerful
waterfall in Europe. The water comes from the nearby Vatnajökull glacier, whose sediment-rich runoff colors
the water a greyish white
Asbyrgi Canyon whose cliffs measure 100 meters high formed by glacial flooding.
Return to Husavik
