vocabulary
Plan for the day:
1. First Five - Students will participate in a vocabulary review.
2. Teacher will pass out MAYA 101 and AZTEC 101 informational reading passages.
3. Students will read the passages and use the information to answer comprehension
questions about the Maya and Aztec for a classwork grade.

Plan for the day:
1. First Five – Students will complete one multiple choice PASS like review question and
one short answer question.
2. Teacher will continue instruction on the Inca civilization, focusing on Inca religious
beliefs, achievements, and the Spanish conquest.
3. Students will complete their notes from the power point on the Inca civilization.
4. Students will discuss similarities and differences between the Maya, the Aztec, and the
Incas.
5. Students will use the textbook to label the important locations of the Maya, Aztec, and
Incan civilizations on a map. They will also label continents and oceans.
6. Teacher will display a map on the smart board using the document camera.
7. Students will label the map on the smart board using the smart pens.

questions on workbook pages 166-173.
4. Teacher will review answers with students.

4. Teacher will discuss important concepts and any misunderstood information.
