Notice regarding basic fares, express train charges, etc.,
of the Hokuriku Shinkansen
Related to the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen on March 14, 2015 (Saturday), today,
East Japan Railway Company and West Japan Railway Company have applied to the Minister
of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the approval in regard to express train
charges between Nagano and Kanazawa for the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
This application covers the upper limit of the express train charges for the Hokuriku
Shinkansen.
In regard to the details of the charges, etc., for each segment, please see attachment 1.
In regard to the designated express train charges that will apply when non-reserved seating is
used between neighboring stations on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, Green Car charges, and
GranClass charges, plans call for them to be determined by notification after the approval of
this application.
Express train charges for main sections are as follows: Tōkyō-Kanazawa: ¥6,780,
Tōkyō-Toyama: ¥6,250, Nagano-Kanazawa: ¥4,960, and Kanazawa-Toyama: ¥2,360 (Adult
passengers, reserved seats in ordinary cars, normal season).
For specific information of the basic fares and charges on each segment, please refer to
attachments 2 to 4.
Details regarding sales promotions related to the Hokuriku Shinkansen will be announced at
a later date.
