It’s Easy Being Green!
Thank you for wearing a dash
of green today in aid of World
Wildlife Fund. Regardless of
the lack of sunny weather, all
children enjoyed a learning
session outdoors today to
stimulate their mind and
senses. One of
our guiding principles for
education at QM is to ensure
children have opportunities for
real learning through real
experiences so being out in the
environment and community is
nothing new for us however it
gave us another excuse to get out
and we loved it.

More Medals for QM Pupils
Congratulations to Fred, Jack, Kamari and Jaden (Y6)
for their runner up medal haul following their football
team's 'Aspire' under 11's London County FA tournament this year. They played 9 teams over the course
of the season, enjoyed every minute and had amazing
team spirit. The boys told us, “ We’ve been together as
a team for nearly 2 years. We train at Brunswick and
we have covered lots of football skills. We have been to
lots of tournaments and we have lots more coming up.”
Well done boys!

Do all your friends share the same
interests as you? Is it possible to be
friends with someone you have
nothing in common with?
Value of the week: Friendship
Friendships are precious and we need to take
good care of them. We have been thinking about
the different kinds of friendships we have and
considering what makes a good friend.
A name for the proposed academy?
Thank you to everyone who sent in their ideas and
designs for the name and symbol for our proposed
Academy Trust. We're pleased to announce that at a
meeting last night, the three schools' Governors
working group agreed a name for the Trust and we
will unveil it in due course along with our new symbol
which is being worked on as we speak. It’s all very
exciting!
Nursery Father's Day Assembly
Nursery certainly had the X factor this morning
as they shared their hard work and sang to us in
celebration of Father’s Day. Well done to the
Nursery team and children for all their talents
and hard work - you made us think about how
great fathers can be and gave us a real treat to
lead us into the weekend.
As promised, here are some photographs
from the Institute of Imagination visits
Great food, fabulous entertainment, special guests and fine weather (other than a brief downpour) made the
garden party a real success. HRH Queen of the Manor opened the day and judged the Queen themed cake
competition (well done to the lovely Daniella for her queen tea pot), Mr Gingell's Brazilian drumming group performed an outstanding set and helped us into a sunshiny summery mood. Bad Manors - QMs very own home
grown band—rocked some great 'choons', whilst Simran and Reet braved the monsoon downpour to demonstrate
Bollywood dancing. Claire and Kelly demonstrated how to perform Lip sync battle with Claire styling some amazing
break dancing. The traditional games was a hit with children and adults alike particularly the tug of war which the
girls aced before Emma Porter arranged a children versus mums and dads competition - we're not entirely sure
what the final outcome was as it appeared that Mr Gingell and Lee encouraged a bit of cheating! Huge thanks to
Elaine and the FOQM team for all their planning and sorting, everyone who helped on the day, with special thanks
to Carter Jones for sponsoring the event - we will update you with the total amount raised next week. We are so
proud that we have such an amazing group of volunteers who help to make QM the very special place it is.
