LIFE CYCLE 5 – 75 MILE ROUTE (EAST, MILES 0-19 AND 55-75)
START – LAKESIDE ARTS CENTRE
OUTBOUND (miles 0-19)
Head around University Park and exit through the
West Gate. Head northwest towards Wollaton
and Trowell, along Wollaton Vale and Nottingham
Road (A609) passing under the M1.
Turn right and head north to Cossall before
heading west around Ilkeston. Turn north on
Heanor Road and Hassock Lane towards Shipley.
Pass around the edge of Shipley Country Park
towards Heanor and Loscoe, before turning west
again to Denby Village and Kilburn.
The first feed station will be located here at
around the 16-17mile marker.
FEED STATION 1 – DENBY (16 MILES)
INBOUND (miles 55-75)
Enter Little Eaton and head north on Alfreton Road (B6179) before turning right onto Morley Lane towards Breadsall. Head south on Quarry Road into Breadsall.
Head east on Brookside Rd and Lime Lane, crossing the A608. Head towards Stanley on Derby Rd. The third and final feed station will be located here at around
the 60mile marker. FEED STATION 3 – STANLEY (60 MILES)
Exit Stanton on Station Road and then Cat & Fiddle Lane. East on Ladywood Road, before taking St Norbert Drive and Sowbrook Lane around Kirk Hallam. Pass
back under the M1 and then head east on Stanton Gate and Moorbridge Lane. Continue onto Ilkeston Road and Coventry Lane back towards Wollaton Vale. Turn
right at Wollaton Vale to head back towards the University and the finish off University Boulevard. FINISH – LAKESIDE ARTS CENTRE
LIFE CYCLE 5 – 75 MILE ROUTE (WEST, MILES 19-55)
Continue west into Belper before heading
northwest on Belper Lane and Wirksworth Road. In
Bolehill turn right then left onto Porter Lane
(B5035). Continue on this road to Carsington Water
and Knockerdown.
Turn right heading north up Dragon Hill towards
Brassington and Longcliffe. Turn west and south
onto the B5056 towards Ashbourne, before turning
again to head back east to Bradbourne and
Knockerdown. The second feed station is located
here at the 39mile marker.
FEED STATION 2 – KNOCKERDOWN/ CARSINGTON
(39 MILES)
Head down to Carsington Water then onto Gibfield
Lane south and Dog Lane to Hulland Ward. Turn left
onto the A517 through Hulland Ward to Cross O’
Th’ Hands. Turn right at the crossroads towards
Mugginton Lane End and Weston Underwood (this
part of the route is different to Life Cycle 4). Head
onto Kedleston Road before turning northeast on
Cumberhills Road to Duffield. Pass around Duffield
on Broadway, Derby Road (N) and Makeney Road
towards Eaton Bank and Little Eaton.
