Meet Masayo Goto. On the 9th July, 2005, Masayo embarked on an underwater adventure, 3.8 kilometres deep to the
shipwreck of the Titanic.

Starting at Newfoundland on the east cost of Canada, boarding the Russian ship Academic Kildish (featured in James
Cameron’s film Titanic) Masayo was given an intensive briefing on the experiences to be expected as a passenger of the 7.8
meter submersible that would take her to the bottom of the ocean and to the Titanic shipwreck. A long, dark, two hour journey
to the bottom of the Atlantic ocean, and the submersible had reached the Titanic. Then a six hour tour around the actual
shipwreck allowed for one memorable experience!
