Hopper with pusher Cup with volume 100 ml Spatula length 190 mm Operating instructions Scope of application The apparatus is used to check the uniformity of the structure of the molding compositions of various raw material supplies. Therefore the bulk material is passed through a specified funnel into a container with a defined volume and the mass is determined. Your sample material must be able to rinse through the outlet of the funnel with an internal diameter of 33 mm. The apparent density of powdery, granular and short fiber materials is determined according to the EN ISO 60 (DIN 53468). Setup Check the delivered items. Set up the tripod on a vibration-free and flat table in a dry room. The stand has a leveling, which can be used, to adjust it horizontal. The funnel can be easily mounted on the stand rod with the enclosed tool. Set the cup on the holder. The distance between the upper edge of the cup and the outlet of the funnel should be conforming to DIN / EN ISO 60 20-30 mm. The funnel outlet should be about 25 mm above the upper edge of the cup. Weight the measuring cup and place it on the label below the outlet of the funnel. Fill the funnel with your homogenized sample. The sample volume should be more than that of the measuring cup ( 110-120 ml). Quickly pull the shifter completely funnel, so that your sample can run out freely and the measuring cup overflows. Remove with the supplied scraper the supernatant sample gently from the cup and clean the cup with a dry cloth. Weigh the cup with content on a balance with a sensitivity of at least 0.1 g. Calculate the net weight of your sample and devide this thought the volume. Two independent measurements should be performed and the average should be calculated. The report should contain the result of both measurements and the average result. The delivered instruments fulfills the estimated tolerances of DIN / EN ISO 60.
