The series will highlight the Mylan Classic’s seven-day schedule of events which begin on Monday, July 29. As a community event, the Mylan Classic offers both championship golf and entertainment for the whole family. Weekly tournament tickets for the Mylan Classic are priced at $25 and include admission for the tournament itself as well as the concert series, clinics, evening entertainment and special events during tournament week. Pittsburgh doo-wop legends Pure Gold will take the stage at Southpointe Golf Club on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the completion of play and kick off the concert lineup for the 2013 Mylan Classic. With signature acapella vocals and four-part harmonies, Pure Gold delivers diverse sounds and musical styles with a stage presence that transcends audience ages and backgrounds. The group has brought the golden age of American vocal harmony to performances from Radio City Music Hall to The Waldorf Astoria and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Pure Gold performs material from the 50s, 60s and 70s with a blend of blues, standards and original material to highlight their unique talents and range. Pure Gold has been afforded the opportunity to play for The National Football League (NFL), The National Hockey League (NHL), Heinz USA, and the Young Presidents Organization. Pure Gold has kept close company with some of music’s biggest legends like Chuck Berry, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops and The Isley Brothers.
