To enhance performance with Amgrow WDG Technology, the following factors should be
considered.
• To maximise amendment performance it is recommended that a soil analysis be
undertaken to quantify the deficiency of calcium and magnesium in the soil. This will
then provide a guide as to which amendment is required and the actual quantity of
amendment required to balance the soil to an optimal level.
• For best results, apply the WDG products to a dry leaf, and then irrigate following
application to disperse the granules and move them into the soil profile to initiate the
amendment process.
• To achieve the best results, apply using a calibrated fertiliser spreader. For more
information on spreader settings, discuss with your sales representative.
• Reseal partially used bags, and store all bags in a dry, well-ventilated area. If the product
becomes wet, the granular nature of the product will be compromised.

Improved packaging: The Amgrow Premium Amendment range packaging has now been
improved and updated. The new range includes Poly Woven bags for improved handling
and longevity in storage. The bag is also sewn not sealed, to prevent seal failure, further
restricting issues when handling. In addition, the colours on the bag are now differentiated,
and the name of the product is clearly indicated on the side of bag, making it easily
identifiable for staff when picking from the fertiliser storage area.
All WDG technology products are available in 20kg bags.

The Amgrow WDG Technology
The WDG technology stands for Water Dispersible Granule.
The WDG amendment products are made as a result of
Gypsum, Lime or Dolomite being ground into an extremely
fine particle size. These fine particles are then suspended into
a paste, which is then extruded through a press, dried and
broken up into small granular particles, ready for use. The key
attributes of the WDG Technology are as follows.

Due to the production method, the Amgrow WDG
Technology allows for a superior granule size. The granule size
of the WDG is on average as follows;

Greens Grade = 1.0 – 1.5mm.
•
Fairway Grade = 2.0 – 2.5mm.
Although the WDG products disperse well, the smaller granule
sizes work their way through the thatch quite efficiently,
ensuring optimum delivery of the amendments to the soil
profile.

Superior Granule Size
Unsurpassed Dispersion Capability
The WDG technology allows for easy dispersion into water.
Hence, within the first few irrigation events following an
application, the granules will break up and dissolve into very
fine particles to provide:
• Enhanced movement and coverage of the amendment
into the soil profile.
• Reduced mower pick-up following application, ensuring
maximum efficiency.
• Flexibility in application timing (can be used at renovation or
for general maintenance applications of Ca & Mg.

Unique Particle Size Uniformity
The particle size uniformity of the WDG products is very
consistent (within 0.5mm). This consistency enhances its ability
to spread evenly over the surface at application, resulting in
improved amendment performance. The WDG technology
also provides excellent granule integrity, which provides less
dust than most amendment products.

Enhanced Nutrient Concentrations
The WDG technology allows for higher concentrations
of Calcium and Magnesium than many conventional
amendment materials. The nutrient values of the WDG range
is as follows;
• Lime WDG = 38% Calcium (Most Lime materials are 26-35%).
• Dolomite WDG = 21% Calcium, 12% Magnesium (Dolomite
materials can range in Mg from 10-11%).
• RenoGyp = 21% Calcium, 14% Sulphur. (Calcium & Sulphur
components can be a lot lower).
