PASS Content Standards Addressed:
Standard 3: Changes of Earth and Sky - Observe natural changes of all kinds
such as the movement of the sun and variable changes like the weather. The
student will engage in investigations that integrate the process standards and
lead to the discovery of the following objectives:
1. The sun warms the land, air, and water.
2. Weather changes from day to day and over the seasons. Weather can be
observed by measuring temperature and describing cloud formations.
PASS Instructional Technology Standards:
Standard 4: The student will demonstrate knowledge of technology
communications tools.
1. Use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, Web tools,
digital
cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and
publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and
outside
the classroom.
2. Use telecommunications efficiently to access remote information,
communicate with
others in support of direct and independent learning, and pursue personal
interests.
3. Use telecommunications and online resources (e.g., e-mail, online
discussions, Web
environments) to participate in collaborative problem-solving activities for the
purpose of developing solutions or products for audiences inside and outside the
classroom.
Assessments: How will these activities be assessed?
The students learning will be assessed by the completion of their water cycle
using kidspiration with a partner.
Accommodations: How might the lesson need to be adapted for students with
special needs?

The Water Cycle Boogie Song Lyrics
Chorus:
Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation
The water cycle boogie goes round and round
The water cycle boogie goes up and down
The sun gives the water cycle power to spin
The water goes up and down again
The surface of all water heats up with the sun
The vapor rises up and then the boogies begun
What's that called? What's that called?
EVAPORATION
Chorus
Water holds together chemically
Hydrogen bonding is what you see
All those airborne vapors they squeeze together
To form a cloud that could change the weather
What's that called? What's that called?
CONDENSATION
Chorus
All those dark clouds can't hold together
Water boogies down bringing stormy weather
Fog, rain, hail, flurries, ice and sleet
Splish, splash, and crunch underneath your feet
What's that called? What's that called?
PRECIPITATION
Chorus
Two thirds of the earth is water, it's true
Gives life to every plant and animal too
Respect water's power, only use your share
Don't waste a drop, there's none to spare
Let's do the water cycle boogie again,
Let's go for another spin!
Chorus
