Pattern has been worked, as can be seen on the chart,
outlined in red.
The Rays pattern can also be seen in written form
below.
Rays Pattern
Rows 1, 3, 5: [Ssk, yo] x4, k3.
Row 2 and every WS row: Purl to end.
Rows 7, 9, 11: [yo, k2tog] x4, k3.

Next: Work the 12 rows of Rays pattern twice more
followed by Rows 1 to 6 again, incorporating new sts
into new repeats of the Rays pattern at either end of
the row. 159 sts
When incorporating new sts into the pattern remember to keep the yarn over increases balanced with a
decrease, ie. always work an ssk/k2tog along with it’s
matching yo, so that the stitch count remains balanced.
Refer to the Increases Chart to see how new sts are
incorporated.
Next: Work the 24 rows of Rays Pattern 2 twice, (see
Rays Pattern 2 in written form below), whilst continuing
to increase 6 sts on every RS row as before. Incorporate new sts into new repeats of Rays Pattern 2. 303
sts
Refer to the Increases Chart to see how new sts are
incorporated.
Next: On the next RS row, bind off with the Triple Picot
Bind Off.
Triple Picot Bind Off
1. BO up to the 3 knit stitch zig zag.
2. BO the first st of the 3, and place the st remaining on the RH needle after BO back on to the LH
needle.
3. CO 4 sts using a cable cast on.
4. BO 4 sts.
5. BO the next st and place the st remaining on the
RH needle after BO back onto the left.
6. Repeat steps 3, 4, 5, followed by steps 3 and 4
again.
7. Repeat from step 1.

Increases Chart
Repeats are outlined in red.
Work the sts at the beginning of the row (reading from RS rows from right to left), then repeat the pattern inside the red outline across the
row, until there are the number of sts remaining shown on the left hand side of the chart outside the red outline. Work these last few sts as
shown on the chart.
