ANSWERS
1.
Rectangle
A=lb
= 60 × 14
= 840 cm2
Circle
A = π r2
= π × 62
= 113·1 cm2
Area of semicircle = ½ of 113·1 = 56·6
Total Area = 840 + 5 × 56·6 = 1123 cm2
2.
Triangle
A=½bh
= ½ × 2·8 × 1·5
= 2·1 cm2
Circle
A = π r2
= π × 1·42
= 6·2 cm2
Area of semicircle = ½ of 6·2 = 3·1
Total Area = 2·1 + 3·1 = 5·2 cm2
3.
Rectangle
A=lb
= 20 × 50
= 1000 cm2
Circle
A = π r2
= π × 402
= 5026·5 cm2
Area of semicircle = ½ of 5026·5 = 2513·25
Total Area = 1000 + 2513·25 = 3513·25 = 3513 cm2
4.
Rectangle
A=lb
= 0·8 × 2·2
= 1·76 m2
Circle
A = π r2
= π × 32
= 28·27 m2
Area of semicircle = ½ of 28·27 = 14·135
Total Area = 14·135 – 1·76 = 12·375 = 12·4 m2
5.
Rectangle
A=lb
= 10 × 12
= 120 cm2
Circle
A = π r2
= π × 62
= 113·1 cm2
Area of semicircle = ½ of 113·1 = 56·55
Total Area = 120 + 56·55 = 176·55 = 177 cm2
