Fall 2015
Edmund Kanmiki is from Northern Ghana, born and raised in the
poorest region there. Nonetheless, that never stopped him from
following his dreams. He earned his degree in Mathematical
economics and continued to work at a Healthcare Center. Edmund
chose AUB because of the MCF scholarship. He hoped he would get it
because he did not have the resources he would need to fund his own
studies. Edmund’s aspiration is to become one of the next
generations healthcare researchers and he believes his training at
AUB in Public Health will give him the necessary guidance to reach
that goal.

and has been working there since. Mohammedamin says he chose AUB
because his aim was to study at a famous university that can equip him
with the necessary skills to help his country’s population. He believes
AUB is helping him reach his goals by qualifying him professionally and
academically with the right research techniques and theoretical Public
Health background in an interactive learning environment.
