The Bloodmobile Travels of a Red Blood Cell

Name:__________________ Presentation Date:___________________________ The Bloodmobile Travels of a Red Blood Cell In this project you will select a tissue of the body and follow the path of a red blood cell from the right side of the heart to that tissue. You will design an exhibit showing the red blood cell’s complete journey. Your design will need to show the two loops of circulation, including the loop to the lungs and the second loop to your chosen body part. Guidelines
: 1. Your project must clearly show all the significant stages in circulation (body parts, size and type of blood vessel) along the way in the correct order. 2. Clearly show the function of each organ in the cardiovascular system. 3. Include examples of how the structure of each element suits its function. (For example, show how the walls of the arteries are thick and muscular to handle high blood pressure) 4. Blood oxygen levels must be clearly indicated at each stage. 5. The presentation must be able to be understood on its own with clear and accurate labels, and explanations where necessary. Use pictures more than words wherever possible. On presentation day you will be visiting other projects so you will not be available to discuss or explain your own presentation. Format
: 1. Your project needs to be able to be displayed in the classroom. Examples include posters, comic strips, video or powerpoint presentations (on autoplay), computer animations, etc. If you choose a multimedia format, you are responsible for having the correct hardware (computer, ipad, etc) available on presentation day. 2. Presentations must be able to be explored by other students on their own. 3. Leave space for feedback a section on the poster board for sticky notes, or a comments slide, etc. 4. You should be prepared to leave comments and questions on classmates’ presentations. A portion of your grade will be based on the value of your feedback. Checklist
: ❏ Research circulation and map out the information you need to include. ❏ Sketch of display/exhibit Check with the teacher before proceeding. ❏ Construct your exhibit. Be sure to plan for any written content.
