Whereas the Board of Education has spent considerable time discussing and formulating
governing rules;
And whereas the Board of Education has come to consensus on the rules that will govern
how the Board will conduct business;
Now, therefore be it resolved, the Board of Education hereby adopts the Governing Rules
(exhibit 1) and the 2012 Board Goals (exhibit 2).

RETIREMENT RECOGNITION. Resolve the Board of Education adopt the
following resolution upon the retirement of the following employees:

Sherry Ulrich
WHEREAS, these employees have been valued members of the North
Royalton City School District; and
WHEREAS, they have made significant contributions to enhance the
educational experience for all students; and

WHEREAS, their presence will be missed by students and staff alike,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the members of the North
Royalton Board of Education express their appreciation and wish them a
long and happy retirement.
13.
TERMINATE EMPLOYMENT. Resolve the Board of Education terminate, during
probationary period, the employment of the following, effective immediately or as
indicated:

ACCEPT RESIGNATIONS. Resolve the Board of Education accept the following

APPROVE/AMEND LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Resolve the Board of Education
approve/amend the following unpaid leave of absence:

-Cynthia Sostakowski/effective February 6, 2012 (.5) through February 24, 2012
16.
APPROVE APPOINTMENTS – CERTIFICATED/LICENSED AND CLASSIFIED
EMPLOYEES. Resolve the Board of Education approve the following appointments to
the certificated/licensed and classified staffs of the North Royalton City Schools be
confirmed with the understanding that such persons are subject to all provisions of law
pertaining to the employment of said persons; and said employment is contingent upon
subsequent receipt by the Board of a report from the Bureau of Criminal Identification
and Investigation which is not inconsistent with the applicants’ answers on the
employment application. The said appointees shall be subject to assignment by the
Superintendent of Schools according to the needs and interests of the schools, salary on
schedule, effective 2011-2012 school year or as indicated:

AUTHORIZE OHIO SCHOOLS COUNCIL TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE
BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF BUSES. Resolve the Board of Education authorize
the Ohio Schools Council's Cooperative School Bus Purchasing Program to advertise and
receive bids on behalf of the North Royalton Board of Education for the purchase of
school buses as needed and agree to pay a service fee not to exceed $325.00.
