Worker student at Fanshawe College and
selected Powerhouse Project for her
placement agency. During her time here,
Madison developed great relationships with
our young carers and staff. We give our
sincere thanks to
Madison for her
contributions to our
program and keen
interest in our
organization. We wish
Madison all the best as
she finishes her diploma
and moves on to the
next phase in her life!

YAC members were
very excited to host the
Family Winter Carnival
for Powerhouse Project
Families. The day was a
great success and
everyone had a great
time playing winter
carnival games (despite
there being no snow!!),
making family crafts and
enjoying social time over
hot chocolate, apple
cider and cookies!
YAC members want to
thank all the families
who came to their event
and hope in the future
more families will come
out to meet the YAC
team!

April CNO is all about Growth! - Your mind, heart, and over-all self; and let’s not forget, the earth!
May CNO is Creative Chemistry- What makes us tick? What happens to our bodies when we feel positive or negative
emotions? Let’s learn by creating some awesome science experiments!
June CNO is All About Me - Celebrating the AWESOME person you are!

Friday April 1st, 5:30-8:30pm at PHP Office (42 Main St. S. Hagersville) Bring your brain-storming
ideas for programs and events for the next quarter for your peers! If you are in High School and interested in
becoming a YAC member give us a call to sign up and share your ideas for your peers! Snack provided.
Garden Growth Outing - All Ages! On Saturday April 23 from 11-2pm PHP is teaming up with
Whistling Gardens (698 Concession 3 RR #1 Wilsonville) for an Earth Day event to help prepare their
gardens for the upcoming season. If you enjoy gardening or want to learn come out and enjoy the day
with us. Please bring your lunch and gardening clothes!
Parent Advisory Meeting - Friday April 29 from 6-8pm at PHP Office (42 Main St. S. Hagersville) Come
and join our Executive Director in discussion as we listen to parent feedback about experience with Powerhouse
Project. We want to hear from you! The goal is to build our organization, together. Light refreshments provided.
Joint Event Trip to the Ontario Science Centre - All Ages! Saturday May 28 from 10am-2pm we are
going to expand our science knowledge and have fun with our Niagara Powerhouse Project friends! Pack a
lunch, snacks and water bottle. Space is limited! Meeting location: TBD
Quick Cook! All Ages! Tuesday June 14 and Wednesday June 15 530-830pm! PHP Office (42 Main St. S. Hagersville) This is
a two night program that will teach you basic cooking skills, smart and easy recipes to make at home. The first night you will make a
snack and the second night you will make and enjoy a full meal! Bring your appetite!
TYA Event! 14+ Join PHP for an evening in Port Dover! Tuesday June 21 from 6-9pm. Play a round of Mini Putt, enjoy some social
time with your peers over ice cream and a walk along the beach watching the sun set. Meeting location - Arbortown Mini Putt - 100
Main St. Port Dover.
Girls Night In! 13 and Under! Girls this is just for you! Enjoy an evening of relaxing, pampering and fun!
Thursday June 23 from 6-8pm - PHP Office (42 Main St. S. Hagersville) Snack will be provided!
Boys Night Out! 13 and Under! Boys this night is all about relaxing and having fun with your friends! Enjoy
