Spring is in the air! But as we
smell the fresh air we may start
to panic and think “I am NOT
ready for wearing shorts let
alone a bathing suit in a few
short weeks!” Have no fear,
Ideal Protein is here! Remember, this program is scientifically proven to work, but it won’t
work if we keep cheating with
food and drink. Even the
smallest cheats will slow our
weight loss down. Do you remember Michael, our IP regional director, saying that the
cupcake (or whatever cheat it
may be) is essentially a $90
cupcake? Because you just
wasted a weeks’ worth on the
program. Do yourself a favor
and put your blinders on. Find
that will power to say no and
walk away proud that you didn’t go off protocol, you’ll thank
yourself in the long run. You
may need more of a support
system outside of LCCC.
Look to your family,
friends and social media
to keep you on track. Be
more diligent with journaling. Read self-help
books on how to cope
with emotional eating.
Think about WHY we
started this journey and
what is keeping us going.
We all have a why we
want to do this, revisit
those goals for motivation and drive. We all
know we can do this, so
let’s take the first step to
success and have great
weeks!

Why do we need a Healthy Pancreas?
What is a Pancreas? Well, unless you are a diabetic, you
probably don’t think too much
about what a pancreas is, or
why you need a healthy one.
But you should not wait for
that diagnosis to start thinking
about yours. Your pancreas is
the organ in your body responsible for keeping our blood
sugar normal. When we eat
food, our blood sugar goes up
as we start to break down the
carbohydrates we just consumed. When our pancreas is
in good working order it will
release insulin to help our bodies either lower our blood sugar or store the extra calories we
ate in the form of fat. When
we eat poor choices day after
day, our pancreas doesn’t get a
break and eventually starts to
break down. This is what
causes type II diabetes.
Type II diabetes is preventable,
even reversible if it is caught
soon enough. Just by changing
your eating habits, you can
save yourself from expensive
and painful treatment options
for type II diabetes. If you
were blessed enough to be
born without type I diabetes,
don’t eat yourself into type II.
With the help of Ideal Protein,
we are giving your pancreas a
break from over producing
insulin and “resetting the pendulum” of how it should be
working properly.
Once you reach your weight
loss goal, we introduce foods
in a proper manner so your
pancreas knows how much
insulin to produce again, thus
not letting weight creep back
on if we don’t go back to old habits.
Just another reason to prove
that we do things a certain way
with the Ideal Protein weight
loss method. It’s not always
about losing the weight, it’s
also making sure our organs
stay healthy and keep running
properly too!
