Band Instrument Care

Band Instrument Care
With proper care you can have many years of trouble free enjoyment from your instrument. You should perform maintenance on your
instrument on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. Some maintenance can be done by you and some left only to trained professionals. If you
have any questions, please ask Mrs. Juhl or Mr. Manley.
To kick-off instrument care week, Mrs. Juhl will E-mail a link to the parent list. Please follow the link to the instrument care section of her
website. Once on the site, read the information and watch the video(s) pertaining to your specific instrument. Then, during your next lesson
time, be prepared to demonstrate the proper cleaning of & basic maintenance for your instrument.
Alternative Assignment: If you prefer, you may submit a technology-based presentation instead of a live demonstration. Some ideas are:
a video made with iMovie or Windows MovieMaker, a PowerPoint or Prezi with photos and written information, a demo using Explain
Everything or Doceri, or ????. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination and technical know-how.
Regardless of whether you do your presentation live or via technology, you need to include the following learning targets:
