1º Read the information and underline the verb in past.
Tyrannosaurus-Rex
T. Rex was a huge meat-eating dinosaur. He lived in forests
with nearby rivers. T. Rex was one of the biggest
carnivorous dinosaurs.
T. Rex walked on two powerful legs. He had a huge head
with large and sharp teeth. It had powerful jaw muscles
too. It had tiny arms, each with two fingers. T. Rex also had
a slim, stiff, pointed tail that provided balance and allowed
quick turns while running. T. Rex’s neck was short and
muscular too. Tyrannosaurus Rex was up to 12 m long and about 6 m tall. Tyrannosaurus Rex weighed around
6 tonnes.
T. Rex could have run at up to 24 kph.
Triceratops
Triceratops was a rhinoceros-like dinosaur. It had
three horns on its face. It had one short horn
above its beak and two longer horns (over 1 m long)
above its eyes. The horns probably provided
protection from predators. It had a large skull, up
to 3 m long. It’s one of the largest skulls of any land
animal ever discovered.
Triceratops was about 9 m long and 3 m tall. It
weighed up to 10 tonnes. It had a short, pointed tail and a bulky body. It had a parrot-like
beak and powerful jaws too.
When threatened by predators, Triceratops probably charged into its enemy like the
modern-day rhinoceros does.
Triceratops walked on four short legs; it was a slow dinosaur.
