Indian-Spiced Roasted Nuts
Mixed nuts with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves
Yield: 8 servings
1 Tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Honey
2 tsp Canola Oil
2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
1/2 cup Whole Almonds
1/2 cup Cashew Halves
1/2 cup Whole Hazelnuts
Notes:
Store at room
temperature in a
closed container.
Will be good for 2-4
days. Try different
spice mixtures and
nut combinations.
Pre-heat oven to 350F degrees. Combine brown sugar, honey, oil, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, salt and
pepper in a small saucepan. Heat gently and stir to combine.
Add nuts to spice mixture and toss to coat.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread nuts evenly on baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until
golden brown. Cool. The spices and the sugar create a brittle around the nuts; just break apart into 1/4 cup
servings or serve in a bowl.
