Firmware Update Guide

2) Make sure that the LEDs of the [SYNC] button and the
[AUTO LOOP] knob on the both sides of the units flash

Be sure to follow the procedure in this guide to update
the firmware.
DO NOT disconnect the USB cable until updating is
completed.
If you should have any questions, please contact the
Pioneer Customer Support Center of your country.
Reference information
This updater has been verified to operate on the
operating systems below;
・ Windows： Windows® 8/Windows® 7
・ Mac OS X： 10.8/10.7/10.6
Approximately 2 minute is required for updating.
3) When the update file for DDJ-SP1 (DDJ-SP1_Vxxx.jar) is
activated, the following dialogue is displayed. Click the
[Start] button.
What you need for Updating
-Update file for DDJ-SP1
When the downloaded zip file is unzipped, the update file
appears. Place the update file on the desktop.
e.g.) DDJ-SP1_V101.jar
4) The update of the firmware starts.
-A computer where Java has been installed
If Java has not been installed, please download the Java
Runtime Environment (JRE) at: http://java.com and install it
on your computer.
5) When the firmware update process is complete, click the
Updating Procedures
[OK] button.
Note: Close all applications on your computer before running this
updating procedure.
1) Connect the above prepared computer to DDJ-SP1 via the
USB cable included with the product while pressing both the
effect parameter 1 and [TAP] buttons on the right side.
Make sure that the LEDs of the [SYNC] button and the [AUTO
LOOP] knob on the both sides of the units light before
disconnecting the USB cable from DDJ-SP1.
Note: Please note that if you fail to update, disconnect the
USB cable from DDJ-SP1 and start from Step 1) of the above
Updating Procedures.

Version
For Mac
Open the Apple menu while pressing the [Option] key and
select “System Profiler.”

For Windows
-Software to confirm the firmware version for
DDJ-SP1
When
the
downloaded
zip
file
is
unzipped
DDJ-SP1_Version Check.exe appears, please launch it.
and
When the [Security Warning] dialogue appears on the screen,
click the [Run] button.
Select the [USB] from the [Hardware] to display the name of
the controller. Select the controller to display the firmware
version.
Confirm the firmware version.
