Mountain (montaña). It is a large landform that is higher than the surrounding
land.

Basin (Cuenca): It is an area of land containing a river or a lake that is lower
than the surrounding area.
Valley (valle). It is a long depression in the land.

Plain (llanura). It is a large, open area of flat land.

Plateau (meseta). It is a large high plain.

Peninsula: It is an area of land surrounded by water on all sides except one.

An isthmus (istmo): It is what connects a peninsula to a continent.

Cape (cabo): It is a part of the coast which extends into the sea.
