Jamal Haybeh-Ach Tenant
> Personal tenant profile
Niman Sharif, 22 Heath Street
Niman became a tenant of ACH 18 June 2012. He came to the UK as a refugee from his
home nation of Somalia fleeing the civil war there in 2007. He received Limited Leave to
Remain in 2012 after a long, difficult struggle with the Home Office. ACH was his first nonasylum landlord and he was accepted on the basis that he had supported needs the
organisation was able to assist him with effectively.
At present Niman is a bank porter with North Bristol NHS Trust. Throughout the application and
interviewing process he was assisted by an ACH support worker who gave him interview tips,
mock interviews and set him employability related tests such as team working and problem
solving. After an assessment, Niman is confident in applying for jobs alone. His employability
awareness and skills have massively improved in this one year. With his ambition and
determination it is envisaged Niman will go very far in his new employment because he is
eager to undertake study and professional development.
