Warwickshire County Council
“Don’t Panic!”
A special day project for Key Stage 2,
based at Priory House, Warwick.
This session meets the requirement for study of a significant turning
point in British History and a Local History study
Mr Hitler is on the march and we have no powdered egg!
Evacuate your children to Priory House to experience a child’s eye view of
World War II. Gather around the radio to hear Mr Chamberlain’s
announcement of war, shelter from a full-scale Blitzkrieg, evacuate to
some strange place called Warwickshire.
“Don’t Panic!” takes you through the struggles and victories of life on the
Home Front, including ‘Make-do-and-Mend’ toys and even a little wartime
shopping. Working in partnership with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
Museum, this session uses a wealth of objects to bring wartime
