Year One Cooking Lesson!
`
To celebrate
Easter, Yr1 had the
privilege of creating their own
chocolate Easter baskets! They
had a cooking lesson, and created
chocolate baskets with cornflakes.
The children found it to be an
experience of great interest and
they were very well-behaved with
the equipment they were using.
Vani in Yr 1, commented, “I

of years, but it’s no more than a

found it a lot of fun to make the
chocolate baskets as I have never
really done any cooking before,
and it was definitely an
experience I will never forget!”
The children were very grateful
for this lesson and cannot wait to
cook again!
Netball Tournament!
This week, on Thursday, our
school netball team played a
match against Hounslow Town

New Pound Coin!
This week, the new 12-sided £1
coin was launched! It was
changed because the old coin
became a problem as it could
easily be illegally copied. Did
you know it’s the first time the
pound coin has been changed in
more than 30 years! The new
coin was announced in 2014 by
the Royal Mint, the company
that creates the coins, and said
that this one will be “the most
secure coin in the world.”
