Director General&HoD (INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS) 1. A Demand Draft shall be drawn in favour of The Deputy Director General, RSAS, and Geological Survey of India for an amount of Rs.3000 /- towards Earnest Money Deposit/Security Deposit. Bank Guarantee is also acceptable. Same is exempted if the firm register with NSIC & DGSND. 2. Bank Guarantee @ 5% to 10% towards performance security may be submitted, if Purchase order is placed. 3. The Tender is to be submitted sealed covers and the tenders are duly sealed and super scribed the tender no. & due date of opening 4. The suppliers who are having valid D.G.S &D Rate Contract are advised to submit the Rate Contract copy 5. Reputed and potential Firms are requested to apply for registration as approved supplier as per GSI norms 6. On the day of Tender opening bids will be opened. Last Date of submitting tender is 10-07-2015 at 13.00hrs., the Tender will be opened on the same day at 15.00 hrs. The Covers not so super scribed are liable to be ignored. Covers sent by post should have similar superscription. 7. Authorised representative of the tenderer with an authority letter may attend during the Tender Opening. 8. VALIDITY OF TENDER: Offer should remain valid for 120 days from the date of opening of tender and there should be clear mention in the Tender to that effect. 9. The PRICE QUOTED should be on FOR/ C.I.P. BASIS and should also indicate the BASIC PRICE and OTHER CHARGES, if any. Shipment of goods should be preferably by AIR INDIA FLIGHT only, if supplied from abroad. 10. It is the responsibility of the Tenderer to see that their Tenders reach this office at the address given atop by due date and time. Having posted a Quotation in time and delayed in post or mislaid/misdirected due to incomplete or incorrect superscription or other causes, this office (G.S.I.) will not be held responsible. 11. Any correction of error on the quotation should be duly authenticated by the person signing the quotation. Over writing should be avoided. 12. The office of the Geological Survey of India reserves the right to accept or reject any Tender or all the Tenders without assigning any reason to the Tenderer. 13. In case of public holiday or any eventualities like Bandh, Strike, Natural Calamities etc. the tender will be opened on next working day of the date of opening of tender prescribed in the tender schedule. 14. The details for e-payment may be provided. PAYMENT TERMS FOR INDIGENOUS SUPPLY: 15. Normal credit for 60 days i.e. after satisfactory Receipt of Stores. 16. Payment will be made after receipt of the goods i.e. within 30 to 60 days for 17. Off self-items and for capital equipment 90% of the payment against satisfactory receipt of stores and balance 10% will be paid after satisfactory Installation/Commissioning of Stores. CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT CHAPTER – 2 of Tender 1. It should be specifically stated whether Sales Tax/VAT/Packing/Delivery charges/Insurance charges, etc are payable in addition to the price quoted, otherwise, the price quoted will be assumed to be all inclusive and no separate tax or charges will be paid in the even of the offer being accepted. 2. The earliest date by which delivery can be completed should be mentioned in the tender. 3. A representative of the GSI will inspect the Stores before and/or at time of delivery and unacceptable stores will be subject to removal/replacement at the risk, cost and responsibility of the supplying firm. The Stores to be securely packed and delivered to the consignee. Rectification of any defects or cracks etc. noticed during a period of one year from the date of supply shall be the responsibility of the supplying firm at their own cost and risk. 4. The stores after receipt will be inspected by G.S.I. The unacceptable stores will be subject to return/replacement by you at your risk, cost and responsibility. 5. The goods are to be supplied in accordance with the Purchase Order. If Quality of any supplied material is found not satisfactory, on receipt, by the ultimate consignee in India, the decision of the Independent Surveyor in India shall be binding on the supplier of material, in regard to inadequacy of packing or improper material handling or for that reason damage in transit. The supplier, in that case, shall have the risk, cost and responsibility to replace the damaged material. 6. Liquidated Damage Clause: The schedules of delivery and installation/commissioning as per P.O. /S.O. should be strictly adhered to. In case there is delay either in the delivery or successful completion period, the firm will be liable to pay the liquidated damages @ 2% of the total value of the order per month. 7. Insurance: In case of procurement of stores under CIP terms the insurance should be covered from supplier warehouse to GSI ware House so that the entire transhipment will be at the Risk& Cost of the supplier.
